LIGHT HONEY, PEAR, MINERAL, CHALKY PURITY Laurent Bonneau has just three hectares in Vouvray. Starting in 2006 with two small parcels, Laurent is a rising star in the Loire. The farm is biodynamically spirited using natural grass cover to preserve the 50 year old vines. Laurent ages the wine in used oak barrels and stirs the lees regularly. The result is a richly textured Chenin Blanc that shows purity, pear, light honey and minerals. A very impressive value. Serving Suggestion: Lightly dredged simple white fish with red pepper potato hash. Excellent with vegetarian legume and grain dishes.
