LEMON & GOLDEN APPLE, MINERAL ELEGANCE, RACY & RIPE From 14th generation winemakers in Weinviertel, this generous dry Riesling balances characteristic brightness with an unexpected roundness and juiciness (perhaps courtesy of the 50 year-old vines) despite the region’s reputation for a leaner, more herbaceous style. The label sports the distinction “Rheinriesling” to distinguish it from the unrelated Croatian native grape Welschriesling, whose presence is significant in this part of Austria. Serving Suggestion: Crispy panfried trout w/ parsley, lemon, butter, & potato salad w/ dill & sour cream. Hearty butternut squash soup w/ cream, cinnamon, & cayenne.
