SOFT CINNAMON, LUSH BAKED BLACKBERRY, TOASTY FINISH David Garcia, aka "Perica" (a nickname from his grandpa), is responsible for maintaining old Rioja traditions and keeping the oldest family-run Bodega in San Asensio at the peak of quality. He is able to coax Pinot Noir-like elegance from rich Tempranillo, then adds the complexity of Garnacha and Mazuelo (Carignan). Aged in American oak for 16 months, this Rioja struts its stuff from the moment you open the bottle. Serving Suggestion: Pork tenderloin marinated in garlic, scallions, olive oil, & smoky Spanish paprika, grilled medium rare. Mildly spicy vegetarian chorizo chili. Cheddar, Manchego, or smoked cheeses.
