Stoller, Chardonnay, Dundee Hills, Oregon, US 2021 100% Chardonnay
FORELLE PEAR & LEMON CURD, ZESTY & FIRM, AIN’T OAKED From the revered Dundee hills of Willamette Valley, this oak-free Chardonnay has the balance of ripe concentration and zealous acidity that we’re quick to associate with outstanding contemporary white Burgundy from the area’s more southerly regions like Pouilly-Fuissé or Viré-Clessé. It’s no surprise given Oregon’s ever-increasingly cemented aptitude for the varieties native to France’s eastern climes. Stoller’s contiguous plots of vines, however, are special, surrounded by mountains that create a uniquely warm mesoclimate and ensure awesome ripeness. Serving Suggestion: Panfried rainbow trout w/ lemon pepper & skinny asparagus w/ Dijon mustard. Squash & scallion tempura w/ aioli.
