RED BERRIES & CEDAR, PEPPERY & MEATY, WELL-BALANCED Tony, Jo Ann, and son Anthony Truchard own and operate Truchard Vineyards, which covers a swath of sloping hills and fog-prone valleys with a dizzying variety of soil types. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with touches of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec was aged for 20 months in French oak (45% new), yielding concentrated ripe fruit, woodsy spice, and earthy green pepper. Powerful enough for aging 10+ years but ready to grace your table tonight. Serving Suggestion: Beef cheek w/ charred onion, summer squash, & African blue basil. Fire-roasted carrots w/ baby fennel, vadouvan-spiced chèvre, & heirloom greens.
