WHITE PEACH & MELON, PEPPERY MINERAL, ACACIA This suave rendition of Austria’s graceful Grüner grape from Kamptal maestro, Cristoph Edelbauer, does a bang-up job of both channeling distinctly Veltliner-riffic varietal character and coaxing out its rounder, more Burgundian-adjacent possibilities with plentiful tree fruit, signature Grüner white pepper, and restrained tropicality. While resoundingly vibrant, its appeal probably owes more to rich roundness than to racy refreshment. Serving Suggestion:Grilled pike or salmon w/ savory sage-butter sauce & white asparagus. Bountiful quiche w/ chanterelles, broccolini, parsley & green peppercorns.
