CURRANT & BLACKBERRY, SAGE & COCONUT, CLASSIC This Chilean blend is a bit of a surprise. Its unconventional label might lead one to expect an ultra-modern, aggressively New World-ish outing, but this has a brighter, more classic Cabernet edge that wouldn’t be out of place in riper, more contemporary Left Bank Bordeaux. Hailing from a well-drained, gravelly slope, this impressively structured creature includes small portions of Merlot and Cab Franc in an appropriate nod to Bordelais tradition. Serving Suggestion:London broil w/ cracked pink & black peppercorns w/ garlicky gai lan & roasted new potatoes. Empanadas w/ black beans, onion, black olives, & bell pepper.
