RIPE, POWERFUL, LUSH & PACKED WITH DARK FRUIT If you aren’t familiar with the "Garagiste" movement in Bordeaux, then this would be a great introduction. Philippe Durand puts in a lot of extra work in the vineyard – including de-budding, short pruning, and removing leaves – to make sure that the grapes coming in at harvest are intensely flavored and flawless. At harvest, the tiny grapes from 145 year old Merlot vines have been examined by no fewer than four people. The result is a powerhouse of richness and dark berry perfection. No sulfites added. Serving Suggestions: Dry-aged prime beef. Duck breast with refried cracklings. Sous vide pork belly seared over hickory.
