DARK FRUIT, CREAMY OAK & SPICE, RICH & SUAVE "Colección" represents the culmination of decades of history for the Peñalba Lopez family in Ribera del Duero. Winemaker Ricardo Peñalba Lopez selects the best plots of biodynamically farmed Tempranillo on the property to make this flagship wine. The vines average 100 years old, and the wine is destined to spend two and a half years in French oak, picking up rich, roasty vanilla notes followed by several more years mellowing perfectly in bottle before Ricardo deems it ready for release. Serving Suggestions: Beef shanks braised in three onion broth. Creamy, cheesy, buttery polenta.
