Allan Scott, Sauvignon Blanc, Rapaura, Wairau Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2023 {sustainable} 100% Sauvignon Blanc RUBY GRAPEFRUIT & PASSIONFRUIT, GRANNY SMITH, LEMON VERBENA & THYME Allan Scott is a legend in Marlborough, having planted vines at some of the region’s most famous vineyards, even helping plant vines at Marlborough’s first vineyard in 1973. Soon after he and his wife Catherine established their own vineyard in 1990, and today are joined by their children Josh and Sara in keeping up with the family business. Along the valley floor on northern edge of the Wairau Valley, the stony, shallow, and fast-draining soils of Rapaura are prized for being perfectly suited for producing the kind of Sauvignon Blanc the region is famous for, and this is a shining example! Serving Suggestion: Grilled eggplant w/ herb and feta wild rice tabbouleh. Ceviche de pulpo (octopus ceviche).
