Domaine Laballe, Cotes de Gascogne Rosé "Brume", Gascony, France 2021 60% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot
CHERRY & CURRANT, ZESTY & FRESH, SMOOTH From the gentle hills of Gascony, this rosé is a blend of Cab Franc and Merlot, grapes that dominate much of the region’s red wine production, yet are more closely associated with Bordeaux to the north. Full of flavors of fresh red berries and with an unexpected undercurrent of mineral, it’s both refreshing and rich. Gascony’s famously patio-friendly whites have some pretty (in pink) competition in this rosé. Serving Suggestion: Plant-based burger w/ hummus, cucumbers, tomato, & sprouts. Greek lamb-stuffed peppers w/ tomatoes, oregano, & feta.
