Famille Duveau, Saumur Blanc "Breze", Loire Valley, France 2020 {sustainable} 100% Chenin Blanc LEMON JUICE & GREEN ANJOU PEAR, SLATE, BOLD & BRIGHT Though Chenin Blanc may count itself among the most immediately recognizable varieties, its Loire Valley range from lean, clean, and refreshingly mean (Savennières & Saumur) to expansive and resoundingly ripe (Vouvray & various dessert offerings) can be a bit confounding for some. This offering from Saumur, unsurprisingly, falls hard into the former camp. Racy and radiant, it brims with acidity, searing citrus, and white-fleshed tree fruit that will refresh the living daylights out of you!
